North Andover Republican Town Committee Newsletter Primary edition!
Primary day is here at last! Our candidates and their teams have been working tirelessly these past months to get us to this moment. Here in North Andover we have 2 contested primaries. Town wide we have a Senate race between Kevin O’Connor and Shiva Ayyadurai. Precincts 6, 7, and 8 we have a race between Jeff Dufour and Shishan Wang for the 18th Essex House seat.
Senate: The North Andover Republican Town Committee has endorsed Kevin O’Connor in the US Senate Primary. Kevin will be an excellent representative for the people of Massachusetts. Just as importantly he has been a team player. Kevin has worked closely with other Republican candidates. Having Kevin on the November ballot will help all other candidates by bringing visibility to their races in shared events.

18th Essex district State Representative: There are 2 candidates vying for the opportunity to take on Tram Nguyen in November: Jeff Dufour and Shishan Wang. There are differences between the 2 candidates, particularly in the area of High-Density housing construction. In a question about 40B asked by North Andover Patch for their candidate profiles, Jeff stated he wants to give more control back to the towns. Shishan answered that he wants to make it easier to change zoning rules which would allow for more high-density housing to be built. Shishan is also backed by the Massachusetts Majority PAC, which is pushing the aforementioned zoning rule changes. Jeff’s campaign is entirely grass roots financed. North Andover RTC Treasurer Kevin Dube is the town captain for Jeff’s campaign.

Representative in Congress, Massachusetts 6th District: John Paul Moran does not have a GOP challenger in the primary. He is running to challenge the winner of tomorrow’s Democratic primary, which will most likely be the incumbent Seth Moulton. John Paul is a strong candidate who brings a great deal of passion and positive energy to his campaign. We hope you will join us in supporting his campaign! North Andover RTC member Ryan Hawks is helping manage John Paul’s campaign.
